Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are "consummate professionals."
The British actor was left heartbroken earlier this year when Kristen revealed that she had an affair with married filmmaker Rupert Sanders.
Pattinson's friends reportedly expect the Twilight stars to rekindle their romance.
Apparently the pair are more concerned with keeping their The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 fans happy.
"[Kristen's in the] friend zone," a source told Radar Online.
"Rob and Kristen are simply making sure that the promotional tour for the final Twilight movie goes as smoothly as possible.
"Both Rob and Kristen are consummate professionals when it comes to their careers and are very aware that the Twilight movies and fans put them on the map. They have no intention of letting them down by not doing any press interviews for the new film."
It's rumoured that Pattinson and Stewart are still in love with each other.
It is unknown whether or not they will rekindle their romance.
"Robert is still unsure about Kristen; he feels more comfortable having her as a friend for the foreseeable future," the source revealed.
"Only time will tell if he takes her back further down the road."
