Lorde's having a good time getting her new record up to her fans standards.

Lorde's Pure Heroine album has just gone triple platinum in the states, and the milestone has prompted the singer to reach out to her fans.

The Kiwi songstress posted the news to Twitter, before typing a heartfelt message to her fans thanking them for their patience and promising to do her best with the upcoming album.

"Holy moly...Thank you. And there's so much more to come," she writes.

"Sometimes I think someone must have counted up the numbers wrong, added a zero or two. It still hasn't sunk in, how much you've done for me. I know it's been a minute since we touched hands, and I miss it all so much - the hugs and tears and shouted songs."

She went on to add that she was "trying with everything in me to make a record good enough to fulfil all your highest hopes".

Lorde has been in the studio working tirelessly with Fun's Jack Antonoff, and the pair have just posted a handful of clips to Twitter documenting what they get up to while they're not working.

As today's Antonoff's birthday, the two are taking some much needed break time, filming themselves sipping smoothies, freaking out over a fancy car in a parking lot, idolising Michael Jackson and trying to get on board the face swap craze sweeping the internet.
