All Black captain Richie McCaw is reported to be dating an English woman who organises high-priced sex parties and is a friend of the Duchess of Cambridge.

The pair met during the All Blacks' recent northern tour, and McCaw - who turns 32 today - was said to be ready to use his six-month sabbatical from the game to pursue the relationship, according to Woman's Day.

Emma Sayle, 34, was described as 1.83 metres tall, a colonel's daughter, and the boss of Killing Kittens, where strictly vetted couples pay up to $300 each to attend sex parties.

She was a church-going Christian who said she never took part in the parties herself.

She knew Kate Middleton through boarding school, with the pair bonding after the future queen joined Sayle's charity group The Sisterhood, which paddled a dragon boat across the English Channel in 2007.

In May, Sayle broke off an engagement to the son of former England cricketer Sir Ian Botham, and had previously dated England rugby star James Haskell.

Sport and romance intersect several other times in the gossip magazines this week.

Woman's Day reports on league star Lance Hohaia's wedding to long-time love Marisa Witzel, both 29, on the lawn of a hotel at Waikiki Beach, Hawaii.

The couple met in 2009 and chose Hawaii for the wedding because it was halfway between Hohaia's family in New Zealand and Witzel's family in Michigan, USA.

There were 48 family and friends from New Zealand and 35 from America. Among the guests were Mad Butcher Sir Peter Leitch and Hohaia's former Warriors teammates Logan Swann and Wade McKinnon.

The couple's six-month-old son Tyler was in the front row, held by Witzel's mother.

The magazine also has an article about netballer Maria Tutaia's visit to France to see her rugby player boyfriend Roi Hansell-Pune, 26.

Tutaia, 25, calls the French town of Oyonnax in the foothills of the Rhone-Alpes home for one to two months of the year.

The two met as teenagers, through mutual friends at an Auckland bar, at the start of their careers.

Within a couple of days Hansell-Pune had texted Silver Fern Tutaia, and a couple of weeks later they were walking along Auckland's Mission Bay together.

They described themselves as chalk and cheese - the chatterbox netballer and the shy rugby man.

Over at New Idea, the attention is on Silver Ferns captain Casey Williams, 27, who married 26-year-old solicitor Terry Kopua at Waikato estate The Red Barn.

In a poignant moment during the ceremony they poured sand into a glass vase - Kopua's from his East Coast home of Waipiro Bay and Williams' from her family farm in Matamata.

"It symbolises the two of us being blended together. We try to embrace each other, where we come from and that our futures are linked," Williams explained.

She hoped to have four children, but babies would have to wait until after the 2015 world championships.

New Zealand Woman's Weekly has a story about singer Britney Spears, saying: "Off her medication and desperate for a baby, the star is trying to keep it together."

Her fiance and manager Jason Trawick had cause to worry during a recent outing in Los Angeles where Spears showed some alarming behaviour, reminiscent of her 2007 meltdown, the magazine said.

During a shopping trip, Spears began filling her trolley with bottles of budget-brand body lotion. When Trawick tried to stop her, Spears reportedly became upset.
