Miley Cyrus has added to her tattoo collection. The 20-year-old actress has two crossed arrows etched on the back of her right arm.
Celebrity tattoo artist Kat Von D posted a picture of the ink on her Instagram account.
The star of US reality show L.A. Ink wrote that she “loved” tattooing Miley.
“Simple symbols of friendship make beautiful tattoos,” she added.
Miley also took to Twitter to show off her new body art.
“ratta tat tat @thekatvond,” she wrote, with a picture of the back of her body showing the small black arrows placed just above her elbow.
She did not elaborate on the symbolism of the tattoo.
Miley in 2011 sparked a debate on Twitter after showing off another inking, of two lines forming an equal sign on her finger.
She captioned the image “All love is equal”, showing her support for gay rights.
The image was used by the Gay & Lesbian Rights Lobby during their campaign for equality.
While some were praising Miley’s dedication to the cause not everyone was so happy, causing the star to explain why she decided to get the permanent marking.
One user then questioned Miley about where it says homosexuality is acceptable in the Bible. Miley fired back: “Where does it say in the Bible to judge others? It doesn't. GOD is the only judge, honey. God is love (sic).”
Miley’s newest tattoo rounds out quite the collection.
She also has a heart on another finger, the word “love” tattooed behind her ear and a dream catcher on her rib cage, in addition to several others.
