Azealia Banks files police report after Russell Crowe refuses to apologise
Rapper Azealia Banks has filed a police report accusing Kiwi-born actor Russell Crowe of assaulting her.
Her claims stem from an altercation in Crowe's hotel room during a dinner party which Banks was ejected from.
In a Facebook post the morning after the fight, the rapper claimed Crowe choked and spat on her, before using a racial slur.
"Last night was one of the hardest nights of sleep I've had in a long time. The men in the room allowed it to happen. I feel terrible today," she wrote.
However, sources at the party told TMZ Crowe was forced to eject Banks after she became violent towards another dinner guest.
The sources said the fight started after Banks insulted Crowe's music choice and called him and another person in the room "boring white men".
When another woman leaped to Crowe's defence, Banks reportedly threatened to smash a glass she was holding and attack the woman with it.
It was at that point that Crowe allegedly intervened, grabbing Banks in a bear hug and taking her outside while calling for security.
Now TMZ reports Banks has gone to police after approaching Crowe for an apology. A source in the Banks camp told TMZ that Crowe's representatives said he had nothing to say sorry for.
Banks has reportedly filed a battery report with the Beverly Hills Police Department.
