Liam Hemsworth reportedly feels forced to stay in his relationship with Miley Cyrus.

The Hunger Games actor and his 20-year-old fiancée have been plagued by rumours they are on the verge of splitting.

But sources say that Hemsworth is worried about the effect the separation will have on the actress.

"They broke up before and Miley went insane," an insider told Life & Style magazine. "He felt so guilty, he went back to her and now he's concerned about what will happen if he leaves again."

The pair became engaged last summer, with the former Hannah Montana star announcing the happy news via Twitter.

However, Cyrus and Hemsworth have been spending a lot of time apart in recent months, with Hemsworth said to have become close to Mad Men star January Jones.

Hemsworth's family are also rumoured to be unhappy about his relationship with Cyrus.

The source claimed that Hemsworth, 23, is waiting for the right moment before revealing the break up.

"He wants to make sure Miley's in a good place before they announce a split," the insider told the magazine.

"He doesn't want her to go nuts and do anything stupid."

Both Hemsworth and Cyrus are particularly busy with their careers at present.

Cyrus's new single We Can't Stop will be released on June 3, while Liam appears in Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire in November.
