Canadian singer Michael Buble's young son has been discharged from hospital just in time for the Christmas holidays.

Noah was diagnosed in November with liver cancer, devastating his parents Buble and Argentinian actress Luisana Lopilato.

The news came two months after the toddler's third birthday.

"Luisana and I have put our careers on hold in order to devote all our time and attention to helping Noah get well," Buble wrote in a public note on social media posted on November 5.

The tot has finished his first round of chemotherapy in a US hospital, and is well enough to spend the holiday at the Bubles' LA home, Argentinian media reported.

Noah is believed to be scheduled for another operation at the end of December.

Buble, 40, has another son, Elias, born earlier this year on January 23.
