Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have reportedly agreed on a name for their baby girl. And it's a real doozy.
The couple's first born will go under the name North West, TMZ reported today.
The baby's name was revealed on her birth certificate at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, the gossip site said.
Not even one week old, the child has already nickname, a source told Us Weekly: "They will call her Nori for short."
The 32-year-old reality star gave birth to North West on Saturday in the US$3320-a-night maternity suite at the Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles.
Kardashian reportedly suffered complications and went into labour prematurely, delivering her daughter three weeks early. It was said to be a natural birth and the baby weighed "just under five pounds".
There had been speculations of a "directional" name choice for months, but earlier this week it was thought the couple named their daughter Kaidence Donda West, after West's late mother Dr Donda West.
In March Kardashian denied at Jay Leno that West wanted to name the baby North but said they were considering other "directional" names. "You know what name I do like but it probably won't be? I like Easton. Easton West? I think that's cute," she said.
Seems like the new mum had a change of direction since.
With picking North, Kardashian is not follwing her family's tradition of "K" names. Her mother Kris Jenner named her daughters Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie, with son Rob taking the moniker of his late father Robert Kardashian Senior.
Kardashian and West have left the Beverly Hills hospital undetected after the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star gave birth prematurely on June 15.
She is said to have moved into a "private location".
"Everybody is doing great," a source close to the couple told Us Weekly. "The baby is so sweet. Kanye is in love. Kim's real due date was July 12 - Kanye's mom's birthday. That warmed his heart."
North West is not Kardashian and West's only new and exciting addition. The new family will soon move into their new $US11 million mansion in Bel Air. It is unknown whether their new home is north facing.
And although North West is a bit on the odd side, the couple could have picked an even more terrible moniker:
Like Wild West. Or Go West. Or our favourite: Wicked Witch of the West.
What do you think they should have named their daughter?
