Hilary Barry got crafty this Christmas for a Kiwi-themed table centerpiece.

From South Island getaways to sun-soaked road trips, New Zealand's famous faces have been making the most of their summer break.

As your own summer holidays fade into a distant memory, check out what Kiwi celebrities have been getting up to over the silly season.

Rumours have been swirling that Richie McCaw may have married his fiancee Gemma Flynn in Wanaka over the weekend.

While a source in the Wanaka wedding industry told Stuff that the nuptials "definitely didn't happen this weekend", it's safe to say the pair have at least been enjoying a holiday in the Southern Lakes area.

Flynn posted a pristine snap on a walk to Roys Peak.

Mr and Mrs McCaw-to-be aren't the only couple who holidayed there.

The Edge's Sharon Casey and her DJ husband Bryce also shared snaps from the area.

Bachelorette Chrystal Chenery decided to head North to Pauanui for her summer holiday, with partner Ricky Cave and new French bulldog puppy, Bruce.

Chenery, a yoga instructor, decided to test poses on the sand, to varying degrees of success.

Toni Street has also been holidaying in the Coromandel.

The Seven Sharp presenter shared a one-for-the-fridge snap of her family as her daughters got stuck into activity books at a restaurant.

Breakfast sports presenter Brodie Kane spent New Year's partying in Gisborne at Rhythm and Vines, before heading to the Hawke's Bay, where she shared a snap on Pouerere Beach. 

Fellow Breakfast presenter Hilary Barry got crafty over Christmas, making a Kiwi Christmas table centrepiece.

Dai Henwood ended a busy year hosting Family Feud and being a 7 Days regular at his long-time family bach spot in Piha.

The comedian dabbled in his photography skills with a shot of the bay's famous Keyhole landmark.

Stan Walker spent time with family in the Bay of Plenty, cooling off with girlfriend Lou Tyson and friends by taking dips in a river.

Jordan Mauger's the Bachelor days may be behind him, but if his summer photos are anything to go by, he's still up to his puns.

 

Mauger spent time in Thailand with with new girlfriend, American-Kiwi DJ Gina Middleton.

Now, the two are holidaying together in the South Island.
