US police are investigating a scuffle between rapper Kanye West and a cameraman at Los Angeles International Airport, where paparazzi are known to lurk in hopes of snapping shots of celebrities.
LAX Police Sergeant Steve Savala said numerous witnesses were being interviewed about the incident.
TMZ posted a video showing West being thronged by cameras while trying to get into a white Mercedes Benz waiting curbside.
As flashbulbs illuminate his face, West accuses the paparazzi of trying to provoke him before lunging at the camera and trying to wrestle it away.
A police officer tells them to break it up before West is chauffeured away.
Paramedics and police later arrived on the scene to give the photographer medical treatment. The extent of the man's injuries are unknown at this time.
West has a history of clashing with photographers and exploded on a paparazzo earlier in July.
During the incident he expressly forbid paparazzi from ever speaking to him.
"I appreciate it, but don't talk. Don't talk to me," he responded angrily to a cameraman's questions at the time. "I don't want to hear paparazzi talk to me or anyone I know. And tell everybody never talk, to anyone, that anyone knows - don't talk to themselves. Don't talk ever again."
West welcomed his first child with reality star Kim Kardashian, daughter North West, on June 15.
