Adele thanks Justin Bieber for taking the cameras off her
Adele has missed out on some of the celebrity spotlight in Australia, thanks to one Justin Bieber, she says.
The British music powerhouse doesn't miss it though. She told her Melbourne audience she avoids the paparazzi "like the plague".
Adele thanked Bieber for her paparazi-free run through Australia, saying she thought he must have taken up all their time.
"There hasn't been one paparazzi shot of me in Australia ... I think Justin Bieber got the lot of it."
Bieber was snapped eating an incredibly awkward lunch in Sydney – surrounded by a massive group of fans watching him eat.
Adele also revealed the lengths at which she goes to to avoid any unwanted attention.
She apparently deploys decoy vehicles to mislead awaiting snappers.
"I have managed to avoid your paparazzi like the plague," she said.
Adele would be on her way to New Zealand for three Auckland shows kicking off from Thursday. Her now concluded Australian tour was touted as flawless and charming, despite powercuts and her outburst at a security guard.
A ship and two Boeing 747 jumbo jets were required to transport all of Adele's concert gear to Auckland for her 360 degree stadium shows.
