Shane Warne has apparently promised Elizabeth Hurley "the world" if she takes him back.

The pair's relationship is going through a rocky patch at the moment, with Hurley spotted out without her engagement ring. However, after Warne flew from Australia to England to win her over, he has promised to fully commit.

"Shane has promised Liz 'the world' if she'll consider taking him back. Shane has told Elizabeth that he wants to make it work," a source told British magazine Grazia.

"There have been massive problems - mainly over his reluctance to set a date for the wedding. But now that he's realised he could lose her, he's come to his senses and wants to arrange a wedding soon."

It seems Hurley is refusing to give Warne another chance unless he sets a firm wedding date. She wants to be sure he is serious about settling down.

"Liz wants to see real invitation go out, until then it all just feels like words to her," the insider added.

Tensions are said to have surfaced because Warne was spending increasing amounts of time with his ex-wife Simone.

Hurley and Warne have apparently discussed this issue, as well as where they will live. While Shane was previously intent on remaining in his native Australia, he is now said to be willing to move to England permanently.

"He has tried to reassure Liz that his contact with Simone is only for the good of his children," a source said.

Warne and ex-wife Simone have three kids together and she has insisted she isn't responsible for the issues in his current relationship.

"There are definitely no feelings there," she told British newspaper The Daily Mirror. "Shane and I gave it a good shot and we're much better the way things are as friends."
