Kanye West has reportedly been "begging" Kim Kardashian to marry him.

The rapper and reality TV star have been dating for around 18 months and in July they welcomed their daughter North into the world.

Kardashian only recently finalised her divorce from basketball star Kris Humphries, who she was married to for 72 days in 2011. She also exchanged vows with music producer Damon Thomas, but their union ended in 2004.

Due to her chequered love life, Kardashian is said to be concerned about jumping into another union too soon.

"Kanye is obsessed with her," an insider told New York Daily News. "He always has been. He has begged her to get married a few times; it's Kim that's saying 'not yet.'"

Kardashian's mom Kris Jenner is said to be determined to see her walk down the aisle again. Now she has a baby, Jenner apparently thinks it would be right for her 32-year-old daughter to tie the knot.

However, she is also adamant things will be different to the last Kardashian wedding. Her big day with Humphries is said to have cost an eye watering $10 million, including $2 million which went on flowers. They also registered for expensive gifts and recorded the wedding for a TV special, all of which outraged fans when they split so soon after exchanging vows.

When Kardashian and West marry, they will apparently only want close friends and family looking on.

"This will be a small, private event," another source explained.
There has been intense speculation over whether the rapper and TV star will wed, with claims that if they do, it could happen in Paris.
