Lamar Odom is reportedly sober and determined to get his "old life back".
The 33-year-old basketball player, who is married to Khloé Kardashian, has been accused of doing hard drugs and cheating on his wife in recent months.
Khloé is rumoured to have kicked him out of their Tarzana, California home after he refused to go to rehab but new reports suggest the sportsman is working hard to tackle his addiction and has been sober for more than a week.
"He is taking steps to get himself back on track. He wants his old life back, although he realises that might not include Khloé," a source told E! News.
"He is surrounded by friends. We all hope he has turned a corner," the insider continued. "He just wants to get healthy and be there for his kids."
Lamar has two children from a previous relationship.
The former Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers player is currently a free agent. However, recent reports suggest he's renewed talks with the Lakers in a bid to turn his career around.
Lamar was seen dropping in for a haircut before visiting executives and his barber Enzo shaved the star he's known for sporting on the back of his head.
"Wish em the best of luck in his meeting wit the Lakers today (sic)," the hair stylist wrote online, along with two pictures of Lamar.
The basketball star played for the Lakers between 2004 and 2011, after which he completed a short stint with the Dallas Mavericks before moving to the Los Angeles Clippers in 2012.
The athlete isn't completely in the clear, however.
Lamar has pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence stemming from his August 30 arrest.
A pretrial hearing is scheduled for November 8.
Neither he nor Khloé have addressed reports about the status of their marriage.
