Beyonce gives birth to twins - report
The babies, siblings for Blue Ivy, 5, are thought to have arrived earlier this week.
"Bey and Jay are thrilled and have started sharing the news with their family and closest friends," a source told People.
A source says the twins are a little brother and sister for Blue Ivy.
Reports she had become a mum began swirling this week when rapper Jay Z missed his Songwriters Hall of Fame induction on Thursday night.
The 47-year-old musician, real name Shawn Carter, was honoured at the gala in New York City, where he became the first rapper inducted into the prestigious institution, but he was a no-show, leading gossips to suggest more important things were happening at home.
It was also noted that during a video message recorded for Jay Z's induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, former president Barack Obama may have revealed the gender of the twins.
Sources also told E! News that he was spotted heading into a Los Angeles hospital alongside his five-year-old daughter Blue Ivy. An unidentified woman was also seen entering the hospital carrying two baby foot-shaped pink and blue balloons and flowers with a card that read, "Congratulations B & J".
Beyonce also pulled the plug on plans to perform at the Coachella festival in California in April 2017 upon doctors' advice, and Lady Gaga stepped in for her.
Beyonce and Jay Z are yet to confirm the arrival of the twins or reveal their names or sex.
The 35-year-old R&B star announced she was pregnant again in February 2017 by posting a shot of her baby bump on social media.
"We would like to share our love and happiness," Beyonce captioned the stunning shot, which caught fans by surprise.
"We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes."
Beyonce and the 99 Problems hitmaker tied the knot in 2008 and recently celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary.
