Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester and The O.C.'s Adam Brody have reportedly wed in a secret ceremony.

The couple became engaged in November 2013 but is something they have never spoken about publicly.

Just three months later, the pair have apparently quietly got married, reports Us Weekly.

This is both Meester and Brody's first marriage, with Adam previously linked to his O.C. co-star Rachel Bilson while Leighton dated actor Aaron Himelstein.

While neither Brody nor Meester talk much about their romantic lives, Meester has made it clear that she takes being in love very seriously.

The 27-year-old says she has always been nervous to make herself vulnerable with a partner.

"I haven't been in a lot of relationships, but I've been in love," she previously told the American edition of Cosmopolitan. "There's an inexplicable chemistry. You just really, really want to, like, stare at the person. I've never fallen in love right off the bat. I get scared to say I love you too soon because it means so much. It means you're not seeing an end to things."

Meester also insisted she goes for nice guys rather than "bad boys".
According to the actress, it's much more fulfilling to be with someone you can respect and who respects you.

"I'm not into bad boys. I think the term is stupid. A guy who cheats on you or is not nice to you? What is that?" she said.

"Nowadays, I'm much more mature in relationships. I've let go of the bulls**t. I think more about the deal makers than the deal breakers. I want a guy I can look up to."
