I don't know if you've ever heard Miranda Kerr speak, but she's remarkably spacey even for a supermodel.

That's why her Japanese commercial for Lipton Iced Tea seemed so in character, as she's pretty much a sweetly chirruping statue who stares into the camera in an amusing Wes Anderson style (except for the bit where she sighs with enchanted pleasure at the sweet, sweet taste of iced tea).

But now the cherub-face has confirmed she's going to sing on the debut album of Australian swing singer Bobby Fox, tweeting "I usually just sing in the shower but @thedancingfox convinced me to record a duet with him."

Interesting though, the image of the pair (per above) has since been deleted from her Instagram account.
Curiouser and curiouser!
The two have recorded a cover of You're the Boss, which Elvis and Ann-Margaret recorded in 1964 for the King's film Viva Las Vegas

Elvis' version is a a sexy, syncopated, minimalist affair which relies more on the subtle gasps and moans of the singers than elaborate instrumentation, so hopefully Miranda gets a bit more emotive than with the tea or it'll come off weirdly refrigerated.

The track will be available on iTunes on March 14.

ICYMI, here's Elvis and Ann-Margaret's version:
