Temuera Morrison to star in new Star Wars
Temuera Morrison is striking back.
The New Zealand actor is to reprise his role as Darth Vader's villainous bounty hunter Boba Fett in an upcoming Star Wars spinoff, Inquistr reported.
Though Morrison's role in it has not been officially confirmed, the as-yet-untitled film is set for release in 2016.
It will follow Star Wars: Episode VII the first film in the new sequel trilogy, which began production in April and is set for release in December 2015.
The trilogy will be the third in the Star Wars franchise, and will follow 1983's Return of the Jedi in the saga's chronology.
Morrison is a regular on the Star Wars set. He voiced Boba Fett in the DVD special edition of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back in 2004, replacing Jason Wingreen from in the original 1980 cut.
Morrison also played Jango Fett, Boba Fett's 'father' from whom he was cloned in Attack of the Clones in 2002, and Commander Cody in Revenge of the Sith in 2005.
