And the bullet goes to...
Not an easy ask but people were willing to take on the task.
The results were varied and bordering on insane (indeed, some were on the wrong side of this border...).
Paul was first in, wanting to use the bullet as a paperweight (it's probably not heavy enough in a windy office, sorry) but he wins a random DVD for longest sentence - in fact the entire lengthy entry is one sentence. (Hmm, lengthy entry... that's sounds dodgy.)
Niri Tacen wins a random DVD for her stream-of-consciousness entry plus the first lupine ref to "time of the month", and another one for being intrepid enough to taste the yellow chocolate and live to tell the tale.
There were some clever suggestions - send it to the guy who plays Wolf on Outrageous Fortune, use it to make dips like the infomercial, use it "to frighten my Dutch friend Thew Olfman" or "the boss".
Some were mercenary - put it on Ebay or sell it to Team Jacob fans.
And some were downright ke-razy, especially the one from Mullet Boss. Some would-be assassins wanted to do in Angelina, Shakira and Robin Williams, which seems like an intriguing combo, although I get the Robin Williams-hairy wolfman similarity.
And (drumroll please) the winners are: Paul #1, Niri Tacen, craig #9, Cinefan #11, Alice2 #14 Gavin #17, Skamantha #22, and the winner is Random #20 for sheer commonsense. Random wins the bullet, plus the doggerel, plus I'll throw in some Yellow chocolate and a DVD. (Everyone else gets a DVD.)
I also ran a comp to win tickets to the Edge Documentary Film Festival this week. The winners are: Dinks15 #2, gt #8 and Kerry #17. Thanks to everyone who participated - a great range of docos there. (If your name's above and you have no idea that you've won, check your email inbox. No it's not spam - you've actually won something!)
And for those who missed out on winning this time round, (while you're waiting for the next giveaway) here's a mini-challenge for all the film buffs and wannabes - a neat little movie-quote quiz. I was aceing it until I got my Pulp Fiction quotes muddled, dammit. My only excuse, it's been a while since I've seen it - at least a decade. Let us know how well/crap you did, below (no cheating!).
For those who've already aced it, let's see how you do on the big movie challenge - prediciting the Oscar winners on Monday. Who will be named Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Film this time? (Best supporting acting statues should definitely go to Christoph Waltz and Mo'Nique so no point asking about those categories...)
FYI, on Monday avo from 2.30pm, I'll be live-blogging the Oscars ceremony, so you can keep up with all the goings-on in Tinseltown even if you can't get to a telly.

Thanks for the tickets Margaret. I can't decide what to see - it all looks so good!
Director - Kathryn Bigelow
Actor - Jeff Bridges
Actress - Gabourey Sidibe (man will I be mad if it's nice white lady trope Sandra Bullock)
Film - Hurt Locker
Those are optimistic. I don't want douchey James Cameron or Sandra to win. Anything else I'm ok with.
Also, Precious is just amazing.
@gt - please don't be too disappointed, but I think it's only a single ticket to the Doco film fest (from memory) that you've won. But there's another giveaway coming up for the World Cinema Showcase, so feel free to have a go at that one (when I get round to writing it...) coming to this blog soon! Have a nice weekend, everyone. PS: I'd like Gabby to win best actress, too, but I have a horrible feeling it'll be between Streep and Bullock...
no worries at all Margaret. I will just make the hubby fork out for his ticket. one free ticket is prize enough!
Re Sandra Bullock - I think here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVF-nirSq5s sums this up nicely.
And Streep doesn't even care.
Best Director: Kathryn Bigelow Best Film: Avatar (would rather it be Hurt Locker though) Best Actor: Jeff Bridges Best Actress: Meryl Streep or Sandra Bullock
