Elijah Wood has sex while covered in spaghetti in his new movie.
The actor romps with co-star Leonor Watling in The Oxford Murders, and admits he had a lot of fun shooting his bizarre first on screen love scene.
Speaking about the unusual sequence, he said: "On the page it actually read a little bit silly and to make something like that seem fun and relaxed was quite difficult. But it was fun. I'd never had a sex scene in a film, so it was new ground for me.
"I was lucky to be working with Leonor because we had a lot of trust in one another. And she's a beautiful woman so that's not difficult either."
However, Elijah admits he was unsure of where to look when Leonor stripped off naked for the scene.
He said: "It's a bit awkward when you're working with a female actress and get on really well, but then there's nudity in front of you. You immediately feel like you have to be respectful so you can't look at what's in front of you."
The Oxford Murders, which also stars John Hurt and Julie Cox, opens at cinemas at the end of this month.
