Rumours Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt is in Wellington are supported by an apparent sighting at a local restaurant.

Staff at a Miramar restaurant say Pitt ate there with three other people around 6.30pm last night.

A worker said the manager didn't immediately recognise Pitt, the star of films including Inglourious Basterds and Fight Club, who was wearing a cap.

"But once he looked he realised it was a Hollywood star,'' he said.

Rumours on Twitter have suggested Pitt dined with Kiwi director Sir Peter Jackson.

However staff at the restaurant said that was not the case.

$10 says that it was actually Adrian Grenier from Entourage, who had a Q&A sesh and a screening of his papparazzi film at the Paramount today.

This was on the front page of the Dominion Post this morning, and the girl reading the news on the radio couldn't pronounce "Khmer Rouge"... This nation's priorities are pathetic.

I think his plane was at the Palmerston North airport yesterday afternoon. Some fancy sporty white twin jet engine plane arrived about 1.30 and parked up behind the hangers yesterday, it took off about 8.30 lastnight never seen a plane like it before.
