David Arquette has officially filed for divorce from Friends star Courteney Cox.
The news comes on the 13th anniversary of when they tied the knot on June 12 1999.
TMZ reports that the Scream actor cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the breakdown of their union and he is asking for joint legal and physical custody of their daughter Coco who celebrates her eighth birthday tomorrow.
Arquette is apparently representing himself in the divorce and is not requesting spousal or child support.
The legal documents show that Arquette actually signed them on March 23 but has been holding on to them for a few months.
He finally filed the documents last Friday just before he flew to Israel and got Bar Mitzvah'd in the coming of age Jewish ceremony.
The former couple appear to have remained on friendly terms since their split in October 2010 and said at the time that their breakup was to "better understand ourselves and the qualities we need in a partner and for our marriage."
