Jemaine Clement joins Kiwis in Moana cast
From The BFG and straight on to Moana, Jemaine Clement's riding the Disney wave.
The actor is the latest in a string of Kiwis confirmed to be joining the cast of Moana, the South Pacific-set film Scripted by Taika Waititi.
It follows a teenage girl as she sails out on a quest to prove herself to be a master navigator and seafarer.
Temuera Morrison was recently announced to be voicing the character of Moana's father, Chief Tui, while Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as a Polynesian demigod Maui. Clement has been cast to voice the character Tamatoa, a self-absorbed monster crab.

The character is described by Disney as wanting to be more than a "bottom feeder", and overcompensates by covering himself in all things shiny.
It will be the latest in several animated roles Clement has taken up in the last few years, Despicable Me, Rio, Rio 2, and his most recent, The BFG.
He is currently touring the US as one half of his comedy musical duo Flight of the Conchords, with fellow Wellingtonian, Bret McKenzie.
Another Kiwi talent to have scored a role on the film is Rachel House, of Hunt for the Wilderpeople and Whale Rider.
House lends her voice to Gramma Tala, Moana's confidante and best friend, who shares her granddaughter's special connection to the ocean.
Other famous faces announced to join the cast include American singer Nicole Scherzinger, of The Pussy Cat Dolls and the recent West End production of Cats.
The Grammy-nominated singer voices Moana's strong-willed, protective, and savvy mother, Sina.
Sina understands her daughter's longing to be on the water, but also wants to protect her from the dangers beyond the reef.
Alan Tudyk (Zootopia, Wreck-It Ralph, Big Hero 6), will be the voice behind comic relief character Heihei, a dim-witted chicken which accidently joins Moana on her epic journey.
Moana also stars Hawaiian teenager Auli'i Cravalho as the voice of Moana, and includes music from Opetaia Foa'i, founder and lead singer of Kiwi Pasifika band Te Vaka.
The film is directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, the masterminds behind Disney classics like The Little Mermaid and Aladdin.
Moana is set to hit theatres on November 23 this year.
