The Super Bowl is the TV event of the year in America. Advertisers battle for the sought-after spots - with 30 seconds costing up to $4 million - and film studios use the breaks to premiere the latest clips for upcoming movies.

For those of us who are not that much into sports and games, we're rounding up the best movie trailers and spots screened today. So far new material for Brad Pitt's World War Z, The Fast and Furious 6, Star Trek - Into Darkness, The Lone Ranger, Oz The Great and Powerful and Iron Man 3 has been released.

Star Trek - Into Darkness
One of the most anticipated movies of the year, J.J. Abrams second Star Trek movie Into the Darkness premiered another 30 seconds.

The Lone Ranger
Disney delivered a 1 1/2-minute trailer for comic book adaptation The Lone Ranger, starring Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer.

Oz The Great and Powerful
Another Disney offering, the prequel to the legendary Wizard of Oz, staring James James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz and Michelle Williams, premiered a new clip.

Iron Man 3

And lets not forget the Marvel Studio's Iron Man 3 trailer.  Right after the spot was shown on TV, Marvel released and extended trailer on the internet. Or rather intense one might say.
