Michael Fassbender's Assassin's Creed has a new (better) trailer
If the first trailer made the Michael Fassbender starring video game adaptation Assassin's Creed look like a dirge, the latest one might just change your mind.
Focussing more on the "how" of the fantastical world where "dressed to kill" is literal description, the latest trailer is a lot more fun and shows a little more of the action.
Although it doesn't quite outrun the stink of other game adaptations - Warcraft wafts up a little in the clunky CGI - there's something definitely exciting about a cast that includes Fassbender, Marion Cotillard and Jeremy Irons.
"I believe you are destined for great things," says Alan Rikkin (Irons) as he recruits career criminal Callum Lynch (Fassbender) into the Creed. Film and gaming fans certainly hope so.
Assassins Creed open in New Zealand on January 1, 2017.
