Ben Stiller and Kristen Wiig were in Sydney last week to promote their new film The Secret Life of Water Mitty.

Fairfax New Zealand's National Entertainment Editor James Croot caught up with them to discuss the movie (based on a 1939 short story by James Thurber), which is about a man who escapes his anonymous life by disappearing into a world of fantasies filled with heroism, romance and action.

It opens in New Zealand cinemas on Boxing Day.
