You know the ol' saying "if something's worth doing, it's worth doing with cute pugs"?

This nugget of wisdom has been proven true time and again, first with the Breaking Ball pug (#TBT) and now, the Oscar-nominated best pictures.

If you've always suspected films would be way better if human actors were replaced by animals, then this video will pretty much confirm what you've known all along.

Some genius from The Pet Collective has just won Oscar Week by creating a teaser for every single nominated film starring himself and his pug -- aptly titled, The Awwscar.

My personal favourite is the Dallas Kibbles Club. ("Are you trafficking kibbles out of the neighbour's garden and running an underground ring out of the dog house?") But obviously American Hustle, starring "Christian Bull, Bradley Pooper, Jennifer Pawrence and Yorkie Adams" deserves an honorary mention, too.

It's a shame there aren't movie-length versions of the Awwscar-nominated films out there yet. But from this tiny glimpse we have here, it's definitely a project worth financing, right?
