After Snow White and Mirror Mirror put their own spin on a classic fairy tale earlier this year, it is Hansel and Gretel's turn to get a movie makeover.
15 years after their traumatic gingerbread-house incident, siblings Hansel (Jeremy Renner) and Gretel (Gemma Arterton) have become bounty hunters who track and kill witches all over the world.
Over the years, the siblings became expert hunters, famous for their proficiency at tracking and taking down their prey.
Although still recovering from their ordeal, their work is relatively easy as for an unknown reason harmful spells and curses do not work well against them.
Directed by Tommy Wirkola, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters also stars Famke Janssen and is set for release in New Zealand on January 17, 2013.
