Ladi6, aka hip-hop soul queen Karoline Tamati, is heading on tour in August.

She's bringing along her highly rated third album Automatic, which was recorded between Detroit's legendary Studio A and Revolver Studios in Waiuku.

The Christchurch singer hasn't been idle since the release of her third longplayer last August. This year has seen her and her band also comprising Brent Park, Brandon Haru and Julien Dyne make their debut tour of Brazil, and they are about to embark on a comprehensive tour of Europe and, for the first time, the US.

Tagging along on Ladi6's mid-winter tour are Auckland hip-hop collective Team Dynamite. Their laid-back, jazz influenced style has been compared to A Tribe Called Quest, Outkast and De la Soul with a distinctly NZ flavour.
