Katy Perry could help make your Teenage Dream of becoming a singer a reality: The pop star is starting her own record label.

Perry has announced the launch of Metamorphosis Music. It's a joint venture with her current label, Capitol Records.

The five-song self-titled effort includes the track Legends Never Die, which features Perry.

Perry has worked with Ferras on his track Legends Never Die. She is also his executive producer.

The first to sign with Perry's label is Los Angeles-based pop singer Ferras.

"Ferras is a man with a message, and a unique lyrical way of communicating his perspective on life that makes you feel connected to every note when you listen. Speak in Tongues is a song with raw emotional power that I wish I wrote. I believe he is going to be an important artist to watch unfold. I am SO ecstatic the world gets to hear his music now both online and on tour with me," Perry revealed in a statement published on MTV News.

Ferras' self-titled EP was released digitally on Tuesday on Metamorphosis Music/Capital Records. The EP includes five songs: Speak in Tongues, No Good in Goodnight, King of Sabotage, Champagne and Legends Never Die.

"Her instincts are really on point. She is very blunt and doesn't sugar-coat things, which I appreciate. Also, she gave me the freedom to do what I wanted musically and was a natural partner," the singer said of Perry.

Ferras will join Perry for the North American leg of her Prismatic World Tour, which kicks off June 22 in Raleigh, North Carolina. It wraps Oct. 11 in Houston.

Perry and Ferras met in 2007 when they were both signed to Capitol.

Capitol is one of many labels under Universal Music Group, home to Def Jam and Republic Records.
