MGMT sell out three shows

Last year's breakthrough band MGMT have sold out all three of their scheduled July shows in Auckland.

Tickets to the shows - on July 21, 22 and 23 at Auckland's Powerstation - went on sale to the public this morning, and sold out within an hour.

The band have several well known hit singles, including Time To Pretend, Kids and Electric Feel, from their debut album Oracular Spectacular.

The hyped Brooklyn band consist of Ben Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden, and were named last year's best band by music magazine NME.

I agree Tom, though would have happily gone to Auckland to see them but sadly missed out on getting tickets.

Why no Wellington???? Isn't 3 shows a bit greedy?? Share it round Auckland!!
