Paul Weller has teamed up with Noel Gallagher for his new album.
Although the legendary 'Wild Wood' singer asked Oasis frontman Gallagher and the band's guitarist Gem Archer to record material for his forthcoming LP, the trio spent a lot of their time drinking.
A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Noel and Gem have spent time at Weller's studio. Most sessions end in serious alcohol-fuelled arguments. But the music has been brilliant.
"Weller put his name on the writing credits first with Noel and Gem - even though he spent most of the session getting the beers in. That's the bonus of being 50 - and the boss!"
Weller recently revealed he was looking forward to the album as he felt it would contain some of his best songs.
He said: "There are rock'n'roll tunes on there. There are soul and R'n'B type tunes. A few psychedelic instrumentals - all the things I'm into."
This is not the first time Gallagher and Weller have worked together.
Last year they teamed up at London's Royal Albert Hall for the annual Teenage Cancer Trust Concert.
