You're kidding aren't you? Do you play any of the three chief instruments here? Grohl and Homme are masterclassing here and while i'm not a bass expert JPJ sounds pretty technically solid to me.

WHAT?!? This album has more time signature changes and shifting riffs than anything for absolutely ages.

How in the Hell does this sound like a QUOTSA record? open your ears people.... When I listen to Interlude with ludes, Gunman, Scumbag blues or practically the whole album, its feels like I'm in the future. They are going to melt faces when the play here... Can't wait.

Bloody brilliant album. It sounds exactly like a mix of them all. Those who think they sound too much like QOTSA havnt really had a good enough listen.

you want foo fighters, buy foo fighters. you want jpj buy led zepplin, you want josh buy qotsa. this is distinctive and unique.

being a Zeppelin freak this didnt really appeal at first but i persevered with it and have warmed to it. JPJ too low in the mix for my money though. bitter they not coming to chch. gonna miss JPJ

yep too much qotsa. needed some grohl vocals as well to really mix it up. kind of merges into one big track and sounds all the same. i'm glad i didn't pay for it.

I liked it, but definitely agree that you can hear QOTSA above everything else. That was to be expected though. I would've liked JPJ's bass to have been more prominent in the mix, just because he's amazing. Good to hear Grohl's drumming again, it's been a while. peopleknowme#56, I don't know how you can call the Resistance serious music! I adored Muse, but struggled to keep a straight face while listening to that album. The lyrics, the Queen pastiche, oh dear...

I think the only people claiming this to be a super group is the media. They are mates jamming out some tunes that there wide range of fans will appreciate,and it will be a great show and a awesome opportunity to see john paul jones in action and enjoying some lime light at his age!
