Polynesia's music stars have turned out to say farewell to How Bizarre singer-songwriter Pauly Fuemana.
The singer died last Sunday, aged 40, of pneumonia.
Scribe and Che Fu were among the crowd who gathered at the Otara Music Centre for a family service.
It is near the Fuemana home where, in 1995, Pauly and his Otara Millionaires Club wrote How Bizarre and the video was filmed on nearby streets.
A funeral service held for Fuemana at the Pacific Islands Presbyterian Church drew around 240 people this morning, including comedian Oscar Kightley, radio presenter Teuila Blakely and Dawn Raid's Brother D.
Many interpretations of How Bizarre's lyrics have been offered, but his brother Tony says it was meaningless.
"How Bizarre was the type of person he was. The lyrics didn't really mean anything, it was his comment on life around him, what he saw."
How Bizarre was New Zealand's most commercially successful piece of music ever, but Pauly Fuemana went bankrupt and lost the copyright on the song.
