Lorde looks back on an amazing year
Kiwi singer Lorde has reflected on 2014 as a year of a hundred empty compliments and genuine love.
She looked back on amazing experiences in 2014 in a post on Tumblr.
"This year was lying on my back, in a pool in Rome on my lunch break," she wrote.
"It was walking through Glasgow late, treading the same loop of worn stones, hearing a busker sing royals and being sure I was dreaming...
"It was crying alone in hotels while the sun came up.
"It was the year of people talking trash, a hundred empty compliments. It was the year of genuine love."
She also managed to fit in shucking scallops with her parents and walking in the wilderness.
Sometimes she felt "like s***" and other times like "pure heaven".
She also thanked her fans in the message.
"Thank you for this, this year of my life. I'm gonna play it on a loop in my head forever. I'll see you on the other side."
Lorde toured during 2014 after the release of her debut single Royals and debut studio album Pure Heroine in 2013.
