Fans of boy band One Direction will be able to spend their pocket money on dolls, wristbands, hoodies and iPhone covers emblazoned with their idols when a pop-up store opens in Wellington this week.

As anticipation heightens ahead of their Wellington concert this weekend, a store known as "One Direction World" will open in Courtenay Place's Reading Centre on Friday to cater for the thousands of young fans.

"Yayayayay omg omg omg omg omg," wrote a fan on the One Direction World facebook page yesterday. "Will it be open forever? That would be raaaaad. :D and will the store be there forever?" another asked.

Others pleaded for stores to open in Auckland and Taranaki.

Photographs of the store's opening in Sydney show hundreds of young fans lining up, some in their pyjamas, waiting for it to open.

The store - which sells everything from posters to wristbands stamped with "1D", iPhone covers and notebooks - is set to open from 9am.

Rubber wristbands and keyrings sell at their online store for AUD$10.
