It was a question of how his bark measured up against his bite when US rapper Bow Wow decided to vent his anger at a New Zealand reporter on Facebook last night.
The nephew of hip hop star Snoop Dogg is in Auckland for one show tonight, but he has threatened to ban reviewers from the show after a run in with TV3's Jenny Suo.
Bow Wow was filmed by TV3 arriving at Auckland International Airport yesterday, where he snubbed a waiting kapa haka group in favour of a spot of shopping at a nearby Vodafone store.
When Suo tweeted about the incident, she was apparently blacklisted by the rapper and his entourage, with one of the network's cameramen later being asked to leave a public appearance at a West Auckland shopping mall.
Bow Wow attacked Suo on his Facebook page, telling his 2.5 million fans she had "stalked" him at the airport when he didn't want to talk after his four-hour flight from Australia.
He went on to ask why the reporter hadn't mentioned how he had "signed every autograph for every fan in that mall today. Or how about taking pictures w/ the under aged kids who cant get in my show tomorrow because they not 18.
"Not one of my fans complaining. They love me! Just like I love them!...Long as they smiling that's all I care about. So save the bullshit."
In a later post, the Bow Wow Wow rapper explained he had asked the group to perform after he had finished his shopping.
"I even told you to tell them perform after I grab my phones so I could check in w/ my family. I gotta 1 yr old too stupid! My moms & family imortant too. Respect that or nuffn. Stupid ass lady." (sic)
He carried on to say he might ban reporters to his show at The Studio.
"hats just how the Dog feeling. WORD!" (sic)
In spite of his initial dramas, Bow Wow says he is enjoying his time in New Zealand, describing Auckland as having "nice spots to eat, the women are just how I like em. Far as I'm concerned I'm enjoying my time like crazy". (sic)
