Lil Wayne is taking seizure medication.

The rapper suffered a health scare last month when he experienced seizure-like symptoms while aboard his private jet.

He has been much more affected by the incident than many people realise.

Lil Wayne confessed to receiving the treatment during an interview to promote his new music promo.

"Please let them know that I have an air unit, but because of the sound, they don't want the air on, so it's super-hot in here," Wayne declared to MTV. "I don't want y'all to think I'm on nothing, man. I'm on seizure medicine, man, that's all."

The star didn't make a big deal about the seizure at the time as his camp were quick to put the spell down to dehydration.

However, Lil Wayne explained that doctors have advised him to follow a new healthy regime as a result of the episode.

While he is following the rules by taking the prevention medicines prescribed, the controversial hip-hop star isn't sticking to the rest of the doctors' advice.

"They said I gotta drink four water bottles a day, that's what the doctors say," Wayne continued almost in disbelief. "I just came from the doctor. I ain't drinking four water bottles, but everything's good."
