Stuff's summer sounds: Six 60
It's summertime and artists and bands around the country are gearing up for festivals and tours. We've caught up with a bunch of Kiwi artists and asked them a couple of questions: Today Six 60 frontman Matiu Walters.
1. What are you up to this summer?
Before we start our tour on the 27th, I will be spending Xmas in Wanaka days on the lake fishing and water skiing (weather dependent).
2. What's your favourite thing about playing summer festivals/tours?
We get to have a road trip in the best time of year, and party with a few thousand people every night.
3. Three things you need at every summer festival/gig:
Sunglasses, clean undies and hair of the dog
4. The best summer venue in New Zealand and why?
Every venue on this tour is awesome - last year both The Mount and Riwaka were massive. Really looking forward to Matakana though, its our first time there and we get to play along side Shihad, David Dallas, and I am Giant...
5. If you're not on stage yourself - who's your favourite summer act?
A few times I have seen Shapeshifter and Shihad over summer... they are the shit live.
