Ty Dolla $ign is headed our way for three concerts in January-February.

One of hip hop's hottest artists is returning to our shores this summer

Ty Dolla $ign will perform concerts in Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch, starting at the end of January. He will be joined by special guest Kent Jones and Onehunga five-piece SWIDT for the Auckland and Christchurch gigs, while Auckland's Jess B+ will also appear at the Auckland show. All three events will be graced by Mai FM's DJ Sir-Vere.

Since featuring on YG's 2010 smash, Toot it and Boot it, the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter-instrumentalist has become of the genre's most high in demand collaborators and solo artists.

Before releasing his debut album late Free TC late last year, the 31-year-old artist born Tyrone Griffin, had two of 2014's biggest songs – Paranoid (featuring B.o.B) and Or Nah (featuring Wiz Khalifa). In 2016, he's been a feature on two of this country's most popular tunes – Fifth Harmony's Work From Home and Sucker for Pain from the Suicide Squad soundtrack. Ty Dolla $ign first toured here in 2015

The Wellington (January 31, Shed 6) and Auckland (February 2, Logan Campbell Centre) gigs are both R18, while the Christchurch show (February 1, The Bedford Marquee) is all ages, but parent or guardian supervision is required for under 18s.

Tickets for all three shows go on sale on Friday at 9am. Book at Ticketek.
