Alison Moyet is releasing a new album called Other.

Get ready for more waves of musical nostalgia.

After a 30-year gap Alison Moyet is heading to New Zealand and Australia, with concerts in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch in October for her "Other Tour", while 90's boyband Hanson have announced a one-off date in Auckland on June 27.

Moyet was one of the biggest musical stars of the 1980s with a string of hits in the UK and around the world. She was one-half of electronic pioneers Yazoo with hits including Only You and Situation before going solo and cranking out more big sellers including Love Resurrection, All Cried Out and Invisible.

She has won Brit Awards and was nominated for a Grammy.

"I'm beyond delighted to be returning to Australia and New Zealand again after 30 years," said Moyet, "Having had some considerable time to practice in the interim, I am glad to declare that gigging is my favourite thing ever.

"My new album Other, which continues the electronic sound-bed I favoured on The Minutes (her last album), allows my live work to also present many of my earlier songs in their intended form, albeit with some jiggery pokery. Songs you know well. Songs to introduce you to."

She does have one warning for fans though: "I don't do Invisible but will do some Yazoo. It's unarguably a fair exchange."

The three brothers who make up Hanson were huge around the world with MMMbop in 1997 and have sold over 16 million albums in their career.

They are promising New Zealand fans that they will play all their hits.

"This year is not only about the two decades of music, it's about celebrating the incredible community of fans who have been with us, singing along year after year."
