Ella Yelich-O'Connor, better known by her stage name Lorde, has teased fans with a small demo of Sober from her new album Melodramatic.

Kiwi pop star Lorde has teased Twitter fans with a series of videos direct from the recording studio.

Lorde, who is set to release her new album Melodrama on June 16, uploaded to her Twitter account a sneak peak demo of her song Sober coming together in the studio.

Sober is the second song on her long-teased album - a follow up to 2013's Pure Heroine.

With Green Light already released in March this year, fans are now left wondering if Sober will be her next single released.

The world reacts to Lorde's new Green Light

Lorde debuted it at an intimate secret gig in April before music festival Coachella. It's another break up song and compares being in love to being drunk.

The series of tweets signal the finale of the recording of Melodrama. She's snapped photos of record producer Jack Antonoff working with sound engineer Laura Sisk, as well as taken a video of Antonoff playing a piece on the piano.

Lorde is becoming quite the pro with her teasing Tweets - in a similar fashion she teased fans for months about the release of Green Light.

In her last uploaded video, she appeared to be leaving the studio in a car while saying goodbye to Antonoff.

"I like you more than most people alive," she said.

"Thank you for making a beautiful record with me."

"Thank you for being a crazy genius," Antonoff responded.

"We did it buddy," she said.
