One of Arrowtown's now famous Brentwood siblings is promising better behaviour while at the Queenstown Winter Festival this year.

"My life of crime has stopped since then," Finley added.

This year he is returning with sister Isla from Melbourne as one of the headlines during the Winter Festival.

On Sunday evening the duo will sing covers and originals during the Auckland Airport Carnival.

Isla said they were looking forward to sharing new music and meeting more locals.

"We are trying to get people interested in our new music and it's a great opportunity for people to hear it and hopefully get excited," she said.

They were also looking forward to spending a week in Queenstown as previous trips had been for only two days.

Other attractions included breathing mountain air, spending time with family and revitalising, Finley said.

"To be honest there's a serious feeling of home coming for us and so many people have been in touch and let us know that they are excited to see us and it makes it even more special," he said.

They were also keen to get involved in Winter Festival's events.

Isla wants to sign Finley up for the Birdman competition.

He would do it for a few beers, he said.

"I know how cold that lake is - it's too cold," Finley said.

The Brentwood siblings had not skied for about there years and were also thinking of hitting the mountains.

"It almost gets me sad when I think about how long it's been. I think if I can get up there I will be one happy chappy," Finley said.
