MUSIC FROM ANOTHER DIMENSION
Aerosmith
(Sony)

Aerosmith are like the punch drunk boxer who knows deep down his glory days are behind him but still wants to go another round.

Perhaps, Steve Tyler has been lulled into thinking that his stint on American Idol might have won him a new audience but this journey into Music From Another Dimension is a cliché of every fine lick and vocal nuance that defined the "bad boys from Boston" through their classics such as Janie's Got A Gun, Walk This Way and Livin' On The Edge as America's belated answer to the Rolling Stones.

Even the potential edginess of Something, which features a rock solid bluesy Steve Perry guitar line shuffles along in a muddy one-dimensional fashion.

Only the hardened and most desperate of Aerosmith fans will refuse to walk away from walking this way.
