GIVE YOU THE GHOST
Polica
(Rhythmethod)

Less than a year old and formed from a relationship- and band breakup (frontwoman, Channy Leaneagh) and a Svengali-act by Gayngs' Ryan Olsen, who constructed a band around the friends' first collaborations, Give You The Ghost  is an impeccable auto-tune-rich venture into brooding indie R&B.

Leaneagh's voice swirls in a smoky Cocteau Twins-y way around voluminous, funky bass and crispy keys while two (how bloody cool is that!) freeform drum kits shuffle and whip-crack their way through an exceptional opening offering.

That this band is having to come together while touring a debut album which was constructed in an incredibly short time only creates more excitement about where they may yet travel.
