Raunchy Canadian electro artist Peaches is the first act playing the Big Day Out to announce a sideshow around the festival.

Peaches, who released her fourth album I Feel Cream earlier this year, will perform at the Transmission Room in Auckland on January 14, the night before the Big Day Out.

Peaches is known for her racy getup, saucy lyrics and raunchy stage antics, will be appearing at the Big Day Out for the third time.

I saw her play the Powerstation the other year (last year?) and it was fantastic (Andrew maybe that concert was her 4th trip to NZ?) She's one of the main reasons I'm going to fork out for BDO now I'm wondering if I should go see the pre-concert as well!
