Wheel of Fortune star Sonia Gray has revealed that she wore gorgeous Kiwi-made undies under her maternity clothes when she was pregnant with her twins.
Gray, 35, now a proud mum to four-month-old girls Inez and Thandie, said: "You want to feel good when you're pregnant."
A friend told Gray when she was expecting, "My one piece of advice is to wear some beautiful lingerie, because you want to feel good".
She rushed and bought HOTmilk's designer range for mums-to-be and loved it and she has continued to wear their underwear.
Now HOTmilk is launching its pants and bras on the US market. Founder Lisa Ebbing said: "The inspiration came when I was pregnant with my first child. I have three girls, four, two and six months. After a lifetime of wearing beautiful lingerie I was horrified with the maternity lingerie I was being offered. I'm pregnant, not 90."
Ebbing and Ange Crosbie, her friend of 12 years, started the company in 2007 and have watched it grow from strength to strength.
They are now firmly established in the UK and Australia and sell globally via their website. There's even a Men's Only section, where fathers-to-be can buy lingerie online for pregnant loved ones.
The huge US market is one they knew they had to try to tap.
"Four million babies are born there every year, a figure that shows no signs of abating," said Ebbing.
"Everyone is really excited, so we hope to become as much a part of a household name among new mothers in America as we are in our other markets.
"The only hurdle we see is that Americans still like to wear underwire bras while pregnant, so we'll have some work ahead of us in educating them to the benefits of wearing soft cup bras."
The firm launches its range at two lingerie trade fairs in New York and Las Vegas this month and they plan to expand distribution in Europe.
