Voice actor Brock Baker has thrown his hat in the ring as a replacement for Harry Shearer who is leaving The Simpsons.

71-year-old Shearer voiced many Simpsons' characters, including Ned Flanders, Mr Burns, Principal Skinner, Kent Brockman, and Reverend Lovejoy. He is also known for his work in This is Spinal Tap and Saturday Night Live. The actor – whose voice has been a fixture on Fox's animated comedy since it premiered in 1989 – tweeted last week that he is leaving the show.
