My Kitchen Rules judge Manu Feildel tackles the tough questions for Sunday Magazine.
What do you spread on your toast?
Butter, butter and more butter!
How do you take your coffee?
Strong and in bed.
If you could require the world to read a book, what would it be and why?
[Paulo Coelho’s] The Alchemist. Simply inspiring and pretty much the journey of everyone’s book in one book.
Four dream dinner party guests, living or dead?
Ray Charles, Michael Jackson, Miranda Kerr and Al Pacino.
When was the last time you turned off your phone?
At Christmas, I went away to a beautiful spa and didn’t speak to anyone for days. It was brilliant.
Who would play you in the movie of your life?
Russell Crowe. He looks like me – he just needs to work on his French accent.
What song can always get you on the dance floor?
Jamiroquai, “Canned Heat” – in fact, any of his songs usually gets me dancing!
What would your death row last meal be?
A bacon, egg and avocado sandwich.
Describe your first pet
A little ball of fur; a guinea pig.
Tell us about a time you’ve thought to yourself, ‘I shouldn’t be doing this.’
That saying comes through my mind every day – it’s what makes my life interesting.
On a scale of 1 to 10, rate your own looks
For this I give me a... 10!
When did you last get in a fight?
I can’t recall. I’m all about making love, not war.
What’s something you disapprove of?
People who can’t say please and thank you. There’s no excuse for not having good manners
Have you ever done anything illegal?
Let me think... Maybe. Let me think more... yes. Refer to Question 10.
What is your favourite season?
Let’s put it this way: the season I hate is winter.
Give your teenaged self some advice
Try everything, but in moderation.
Talk us through your daily grooming routine
First thing, jump in the shower, brush my teeth in the shower, shampoo, soap from nose to tail, out, dry, do my hair, spritz of perfume and – voila! (And don’t forget the back of my ears.)
You are given $1000 “spending money”
How do you spend it? I’d have a good night out with all my mates. Sharing is caring!
When was the last time you cried?
When I collected my son from the airport from an overseas trip, I hadn’t realised how much I missed him!
If you were a pudding, you’d be a…
Chocolate fondant. Hard on the outside but soft in the middle; bitter but sweet.
