Emily Blunt will host and Bruno Mars will be the musical guest on NBC's Saturday Night Live October 15, while Tom Hanks hosts and Lady Gaga is the musical act on October 22.

The third episode of the late-night series' 42nd season is timed to Blunt's starring role in The Girl on the Train, out in cinemas now, and the release of Mars' third album, 24K Magic, announced Friday and out November 18.

Tom Hanks is back with more mystery in Inferno.

Hanks stars in Inferno, opening October 13, the next chapter in the Da Vinci Code series, and Gaga's fifth studio album, Joanne, is out October 21.

SNL's October 1 opener, hosted by Margot Robbie and opening with a Clinton-Trump debate parody that introduced Alec Baldwin as Trump, drew 8.3 million viewers, the show's biggest audience since 2008, kicking off another presidential election season.

This weekend's show will be hosted by Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton).

The show will take a week off October 29 before an election-week episode.
